Researcher Elizabeth Figus visited Homer on Oct. 25 to present her research on halibut fisheries in southeast Alaska.
Figus is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She interviewed halibut fishermen as part of her dissertation research to better understand their preferences on monitoring fisheries.
