Homer Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

A Homer coffee shop was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 10:05 Monday morning. An employee of Fat Olives Espresso reported the robbery to the Homer Police Department. Homer PD Sergeant, Larry Kuhns, says a worker at the café hid in the restroom and called 9-1-1.

“She had just been robbed at gunpoint. A lone male entered, had disguised his facial features. He appeared to be to be 5’4” to 5’7” about 140 pounds, came in proceeded to help himself to the till and take an undisclosed amount of money,” said Kuhns.

According to Homer PD the suspect wore a brown camouflage  jacket, baggy blue jeans and a black ski mask. The thief got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say they’re reviewing video tape from businesses. They’re also asking for the public’s help.
