Coffee Table: Local, Sustainable Agriculture

Most of the food we eat on the Kenai Peninsula is shipped in from somewhere else. But there is a movement to produce more food in the region. Guests are: Amy Seitz with the Alaska Farm Bureau; Brad Caser, the Natural Resource Specialist for the Homer Soil and Water Conservation District; and Kyra Wagner, Manager of the Homer Soil and Water Conservation District and founder of Sustainable Homer.

Daysha Eaton holds a B.A. from Evergreen State College, and a M.A. from the University of Southern California. Daysha got her start in radio at Seattle public radio stations, KPLU and KUOW. Before coming to KBBI, she was the News Director at KYUK in Bethel. She has also worked as the Southcentral Reporter for KSKA in Anchorage.
