Dorle Harness has been the Business Manager for KBBI since 2004. After traveling in Alaska on and off throughout the 1980s, Dorle has made the Homer area her permanent home over 25 years ago and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Her first encounter with KBBI was in 1982. Discovering it truly added to her enchantment with the Southern Kenai Peninsula.
She feels strongly about the educational value of Public Radio and enjoys helping to keep KBBI strong and healthy. Aside from her work at KBBI, Dorle likes spending time across the bay where she helps her husband, Rick, guiding kayak tours in the summer. She also enjoys playing in one of Homer’s African Marimba bands, and taking advantage of some of the many cultural and outdoor opportunities this area has to offer throughout the year.
