Seelinger Appointed to HEA Board

Staff Report

The Homer Electric Association has appointed Seldovia resident Don Seelinger to fill a vacant seat on its Board of Directors. Seelinger will represent District 3 and takes over for Mike Wiley of Clam Gulch. Wiley passed away late last year.

Four HEA members applied for the vacancy and the current board selected Seelinger because he already served on the board from 2006 to 2009. Seelinger has lived in Alaska since 1958 and has spent the last 20 years in Seldovia. He has worked as the chief pilot for Homer Air and was the owner of Seldovia Air Cargo.

Seelinger will serve out the remaining time on the term, which expires May 2014.
