Apache Corp. Announces Rig Will Work Near Tyonek

     Another drilling rig is has arrived in Cook Inlet.  Apache Corporation announced Tuesday that a rig for their on shore location near Tyonek has arrived with plans to begin drilling in the fourth quarter.
 
     In a press release, the company said it brought the rig up via truck and barge from North Dakota.  About 100 people will be employed by Apache’s contractors and subcontractors during the drilling season.
 
     Apache also plans to hold a public meeting in Tyonek on October 10th at noon at the Tribal Center to discuss the drilling operations and what residents can expect to see in the months ahead.
